Colonie de Berbice, 1740
Map of the old Dutch colony of Berbice, located in the north coast of South America, in what is now the anglophone nation of Guyana. The area was a colony of the Netherlands from 1627 until 1815, when it came under British control. The map appears sideways because it’s oriented with the West on top and East in the bottom. You can see the Atlantic Ocean in the right side of the map.
